Buenaventura Announces 3-Day Strike at Orcopampa Mine

(NYSE:BVN; Lima Stock Exchange:BUE.LM), Peru’s largest publicly
traded, precious metals mining company announced today that the
workers’ and contractors’ unions at Orcopampa began a 3-day strike
yesterday claiming unsuitable working conditions. The strike will
end tomorrow night at the latest.
The Peruvian Ministry of Labor has denied the proceeding of the
strike at this time.
The Company will update accordingly as any developments
occur.

mining rights in Peru. The Company is engaged in the mining,
