Dow Jones News
LONDON--John Wood Group PLC (WG.LN) Tuesday said it secured a
contract for engineering, procurement and construction management
services on a life-extension project for Woodside Petroleum Ltd.
(WPL.AU) Karratha gas plant in Western Australia.
Under the contract, the Aberdeen-based energy services company
will also be in line to modify and refurbish other onshore and
offshore assets owned by Woodside.
"This new contract deepens our presence in Western Australian,
which is well timed against the local market transition we expect
from greenfield construction to production support services," said
Andrew Stewart managing director of Wood Group PSN for the
Australia and Asia Pacific region.
Wood Group PSN is Wood Group's "brownfield" oil and gas services
subsidiary, responsible for maintaining existing facilities.
