The new agent for Solaris quickly and proactively identifies issues within the system before they happen. It is designed to identify configuration issues, locate exhausted or underutilized resources, isolate problems, and provide on demand access to configuration information—including OS utilization levels, devices, processor/memory information, and virtual features. The updated AIX and Linux agents will provide users with:

  • User-Friendly Block Device Names that improve naming conventions to help better identify disk assets on Linux or AIX systems.
  • Volume Group, IBM GPFS & Oracle ASM Storage Capacity Pills that allow users to quickly visualize storage group capacities.
  • Additional Configuration Details that provide expanded information for adapters, disks, block devices, and more.
  • Enhanced Configuration Details that provide information to better troubleshoot potential network issues.
  • New Top Process Charting that provides a summary of active processes that consume excessive resources.
