Enterprise Products Partners LP said Chief Executive Michael Creel will retire at year's end after leading the company for five years, to be replaced by Chief Operating Officer A. James Teague.

Mr. Teague, 70 years old, joined Enterprise Products in connection with its purchase of certain energy assets from affiliates of Shell Oil Co. in 1999, and has served as chief operating officer since 2010.

Before his roles at Enterprise Products, Mr. Teague served as president of Tejas Natural Gas Liquids LLC, then an affiliate of Shell.

In addition, Enterprise named W. Randall Fowler as chief administrative officer, effective April 1. Mr. Fowler, 58, joined Enterprise in 1999 and most recently served as its chief financial officer since 2007.

Other management changes announced Monday include the naming of Bryan Bulawa as chief financial officer and the appointment of Christian Nelly as treasurer. Mr. Bulawa, 45, previously was treasurer, and Mr. Nelly was senior director of finance.

Shares in the company, down about 9% this year, are inactive in after-hours trading.
