About QPID Health
QPID optimizes "return on
information" from data stored in electronic health records,
clinical data repositories, and health information exchanges. With
QPID's clinical reasoning platform, hospitals and medical groups
can prove compliance with quality measures, participate in
registries, and identify cohorts for research or care management
– using fewer resources and more accurately. By automatically
mining all the information in a patient's record, QPID supports
better utilization management and care decisions. Before QPID,
expensive clinical resources conducting manual chart review were
required to leverage insights from unstructured information such as
notes, estimated to be 80% of a patient's record.
QPID was developed at Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH) and
usage spread virally throughout the Partners HealthCare system.
There are over 7500 active QPID users at MGH, Brigham &
Women's, Silver Hill, Spaulding, and Newton
Wellesley, among other institutions. QPID Health launched in
late 2012 to bring the power of QPID to health systems nationwide.
Investors include Cardinal Partners, Matrix Partners, Massachusetts
General Physicians Organization, New Leaf Venture Partners, and
Partners Innovation Fund.
