U.S. Dollar Rises Against Majors

The U.S. dollar strengthened against the other major currencies
in the European session on Wednesday.
The U.S. dollar rose to an 8-year high of 123.42 against the yen
and nearly a 1-1/2-month high of 1.2449 against the Canadian
dollar, from early lows of 122.77 and 1.2394, respectively.
Moving away from early lows of 0.9466 against the Swiss franc,
0.7768 against the Australian dollar and 0.7267 against the NZ
dollar, the greenback advanced to 0.9491, 0.7726 and 0.7233,
respectively. This may be compared to an early 4-week high of
0.9538 against the Swiss franc, nearly a 5-week high of 0.7725
against the aussie and more than a 2-1/2-month high of 0.7216
against the kiwi.
Against the euro and the pound, the greenback edged up to 1.0892
and 1.5380 from early lows of 1.0928 and 1.0928, respectively.
If the greenback extends its uptrend, it is likely to find
resistance around 125.00 against the yen, 1.27 against the loonie,
0.98 against the franc, 0.74 against the aussie, 0.70 against the
kiwi, 1.06 against the euro and 1.50 against the pound.
