LOS ANGELES, May 28, 2015 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- NAVGTR
CORP. -- With all the new games slated to be announced at the
Electronic Entertainment Expo®, video game award season has
begun. After two whole days scouring the exhibit halls for
award-worthy material, attendees will be able to cast their votes
in one of the year's first precursor races.
Defend Your Games: Figueroa
Using a format borrowed from the Iowa caucuses --- the earliest vote assigning
delegates in the presidential race for the United States --- NAVGTR presents the
"Defend Your Games" event on the second night of E3® at the Hotel
Figueroa, 5:30pm June 17, 2015, in the Rabat Room. Tickets
are free at https://navgtr.eventbrite.com.
Caucus voters will form groups to show support for potential
video game nominees in various award programs, though alliances
will be tested through debate as small groups are
eliminated.
Richard Epcar, the voice of
Raiden, Batou, Joker, and Ansem, will be on hand to announce the
contenders. Special guest George
Wood will interact with the audience to whip votes.
"Child of Light" creative director Patrick
Plourde will accept the NAVGTR Award in person.
A condensed preview version of the caucus event will be held
with cosplayers on June 13. Visit

IGDA® Networking Event
NAVGTR is sponsoring the Networking Event of the International
Game Developers Association (IGDA). Held simultaneously with
the "Defend Your Games" caucus event at Hotel Figueroa, the
networking event will be located in the Tangier Room (basement)
where food and drinks will be served 6-9pm. IGDA members receive free drink
tickets. Registering at http://tinyurl.com/igdabrite gives
access to refreshments which guests can then bring into the Rabat
Room for the caucus.
IGDA® Developer Credit Special Interest Group
(SIG)
Career nominations of game developers have been tallied from
among the most prolific video game awards. The current
rankings will be revealed at the "Defend Your Games"
event.
Since industry crediting deeply affects these efforts, the
IGDA's "DevCredit" SIG will announce two certification levels to be
offered first to award programs. Silver certification is
given for disclosing attribution records, while Gold certification
is given for allowing IGDA community review before
finalization.
In the meantime, unofficial records approximating award
recipients will be used to encourage official disclosures and
ranking adjustments.
