Pan Am flame will participate in Calgary Stampede Parade and visit Canada's Sports Hall of Fame

CALGARY, July 1, 2015 /CNW/ - On Friday, July 3, Day 34 of the Pan Am Games Torch Relay, presented by President's Choice® and OLG, the Pan Am flame will visit Calgary, Alberta.

The flame will be carried by several torchbearers in this year's Stampede parade alongside a specially-designed torch relay float. Following the parade, the flame will make its way to Canada's Sports Hall of Fame for a community celebration.

  • Michelle Cameron Coulter, Olympic gold medallist, swimming will pass the Pan Am flame to Sydney Soloski, junior elite gymnast.

The Pan Am Games Torch Relay is a 41-day journey that will share the Pan Am spirit in more than 130 communities. The torch relay is one of the most exciting events as it sets the stage leading up to the Games.  There will be more than 3,000 torchbearers and 180 community celebrations taking place.
