Dover International Speedway has annually hosted NASCAR events on its 750-acre complex since it first opened in 1969. Known as the world's fastest one-mile concrete oval, Dover International Speedway hosted a tripleheader NASCAR race weekend, May 29-31, with events including "Lucas Oil 200" NASCAR Camping World Truck Series race, "Buckle Up 200" presented by Click It or Ticket NASCAR XFINITY Series race, and the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race. The speedway will host its second tripleheader NASCAR race weekend, October 2-4.

Dover International Speedway hosts other large events including Firefly Music Festival and Big Barrel Country Music Festival; both presented by Red Frog Events and Goldenvoice.
