Horizon North Logistics Inc. (TSX - HNL) ("Horizon North"
or the "Corporation") today announced the following changes
to its Executive Management team:
Vice President Manufacturing – Horizon North is pleased
to announce the addition of Kapul Gill as Vice President
Manufacturing. Most recently, Kapul was the Chief Operating
Officer of ZCL Composites Inc. with responsibility for the overall
group operation of 6 Canadian and 6 US Plants, with focus on
continuous improvement initiatives, stringent safety levels, robust
reliability in product quality and on-time delivery. Kapul
brings with him over 28 years of experience in manufacturing within
a number of industries including automotive, aerospace, and luxury
yachts and holds a PhD in Supply Chain and Lean Management, a
Master of Science in Manufacturing Systems Engineering, and a
Bachelor of Science in Industrial and Manufacturing
Engineering.
Kapul will assume responsibility for all aspects of Horizon
North's manufacturing operations including design and estimating,
procurement, plant operations and site installation and quality
control.
Vice President Business Information Systems - Horizon
North is pleased to announce the recent addition of Steve Stretch to the position of Vice
President Business Information Systems. Most recently, Steve
was the Vice President, Information Systems at SMART Technologies,
a leading provider of interactive whiteboards and communication and
presentation technology. Prior thereto, Steve spent 14 years
with Westjet Airlines Ltd. during its early years and through a
period of sustained and significant growth, culminating in the role
of Vice President, Information Technology.
Steve will be responsible for all aspects of Horizon North's
Business Information Systems requirements with oversight of all
information technology and communication related matters.
Senior Vice President Finance & Chief Financial
Officer - Horizon North is pleased to announce the recent
promotion and appointment of Scott
Matson to the position of Senior Vice President Finance
& Chief Financial Officer. Scott has been with Horizon
North since its public launch in 2006 and held the position of Vice
President Finance & Chief Financial Officer since January
2010.
Scott will continue to oversee the finance and accounting, tax
and treasury and financial reporting functions as well as assisting
in Horizon North's investor relations.
