MONTREAL, Aug. 1, 2015 /CNW Telbec/ - Jubilee Fireworks,
representing England, was awarded
the Gold Jupiter at the Finale des Étoiles Loto-Québec that took
place tonight at La Ronde. JCO from France took the Silver Jupiter, closing in
third place for the Bronze Jupiter was Vulcan Fireworks,
representing Hong Kong,
China.
A Tribute to Madonna was presented as an out-of-competition
fireworks performance to close this 31st season of L'International
des Feux Loto-Québec. This special collaboration between
Paul Csukassy and Pyrospectaculars
by Souza showcased some of the Pop Diva's greatest hits like
Vogue, Music and Lucky Star.
England win the gold
For its first presence at the competition, Jubilee Fireworks,
representing England, took the
Gold Jupiter. Entitled "Vive la difference", the performance
celebrated the diversity in a beautiful display of colours, fire,
light and sound. The soundtrack included the music of Ellie Goulding, Coldplay and Bruno Mars among others. Founded in 1987,
Jubilee Fireworks won the Champion of Champions Award at the 2006
British Fireworks Championships, as well as first prize in
the Philippines, Monaco and Knokke, Belgium competitions.
France takes Silver
Another first time contender, JCO, representing France, took home the Silver Jupiter. Dynamite
Circus, an invitation to an amazing pyromusical circus, was
orchestrated by a super energetic Mr. Loyal. The soundtrack
included music from Stan Getz and
John Williams, Brigitte Fontaine and Édith Piaf. JCO (Jacques
Couturier Organisation) has been renowned as a specialist in the
creation of pyromusical displays for 25 years. The company has won
several awards, including first prize in Da Nang in
Vietnam in 2010 and at the Finale
des vainqueurs in Monaco in
2009.
Hong Kong, China for the
Bronze
For its second participation in the Montréal competition, Vulcan
Fireworks took the Bronze Jupiter. With On the Road again!,
they invited the public to take part in a fun and magical
pyromusical road trip set to the music of legendary bands such as
Yes, The Alan Parsons Project, Supertramp, Queen, Deep Purple, Guns
N' Roses, Aerosmith and Metallica. Established in 1974, Vulcan
Fireworks began as a trading company. In the mid-late 1990s, the
company started producing fireworks displays all over the world and
won first prize in Hannover,
Germany in 2009.
Since July 4, the nineteen jury
members have evaluated the six companies participating in the
competition while L'International's top management awarded the best
soundtrack mention to Vulcan Fireworks from Hong Kong, China for On the Road again! The
"green" mention was awarded to Archangel Fireworks Inc. for its
efforts in using non-perchlorate and/or non-nitrate based
products.
Every year the fireworks competition attracts close to 3 million
people, making it one of Quebec's
most attended events. L'International des Feux Loto-Québec proudly

International Fireworks Competition) was launched in 1985. Today it
