Several people have been killed and around 100 have been injured in a train crash in southern Bavaria, German police said Tuesday.

Two regional trains collided at the spa town of Bad Aibling, about 35 miles southeast of Munich, on the regional line between Rosenheim and Holzkirchen, police said.

Hundreds of police and rescue workers are at the scene of the crash.
