Sen. Roger Wicker of Mississippi, chairman of Senate
Republicans' campaign arm, said he meant his comment "keep walking"
as advice to presumptive GOP presidential nominee Donald Trump to
keep backing away from his controversial comments about a federal
judge who is presiding over lawsuits against Trump University. An
Election 2016 article Thursday about Mr. Trump omitted the context
of Sen. Wicker's remark.
Australian bank Macquarie Group Ltd. has $147 billion in assets.
A Money & Investing article Monday about Macquarie incorrectly
said the bank's assets are $350 billion. In addition, Macquarie
isn't one of the largest providers of leveraged loans to the U.S.
energy industry; the article incorrectly said it is. Also,
Macquarie investment funds own and manage utilities and other
energy assets in the U.S. The article incorrectly said the bank
owned those assets.
A failure by Williams Cos. management to support a "yes" vote on
a merger with Energy Transfer Equity would trigger a termination
fee, whereas a shareholder "no" vote against management's
recommendation would only make Williams liable for Energy
Transfer's expenses up to $50 million. A Heard on the Street
article Thursday about the deal incorrectly said that a failure to
vote "yes" would trigger a termination or "break fee."
Brazil's national hockey team won its first game at the
Pan-American Hockey Tournament 8-1 against an Argentine "B" team. A
Page One article Thursday about Brazil's team incorrectly said its
4-0 loss to Mexico had been its first game.
The name of Swiss agrochemical company Syngenta AG was
misspelled as Sygenta in some editions Thursday in a Page One
article about Chinese companies' investments in Germany.
