De Blasio to Stump for Hillary Clinton

Mayor Bill de Blasio is heading to Wisconsin on Saturday to campaign for Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton, according to a person familiar with the matter.

Mr. de Blasio, a Democrat, plans to visit two predominantly black churches in Milwaukee and make media appearances for Mrs. Clinton before returning to New York late Sunday, this person said.

He is expected to criticize Republican nominee Donald Trump for his recent comments on the stop-and-frisk police tactic, which Mr. Trump said should be implemented across the country.

Mr. de Blasio will be accompanied by his wife, Chirlane McCray, and the Clinton campaign is paying for the trip. A spokesman for Mrs. Clinton said the campaign was "extremely grateful" for Mr. de Blasio's visit.

Officials: 25 Indicted in Record Drug Bust

Authorities have made a record drug bust, seizing 33 kilograms of heroin and 2 kilograms of fentanyl, Attorney General Eric Schneiderman and the New York State Police said Friday.

Mr. Schneiderman's office said the seizure is the largest ever in the 46-year history of New York's Organized Crime Task Force. The investigation was called "Operation Dirty Dope" and led to the disruption of what Mr. Schneiderman's office called an alleged national heroin smuggling ring.

Twenty-five individuals living in New York, Massachusetts, Pennsylvania, Arizona and New Jersey have been indicted in connection with the case.
