--Audi plans to appoint an interim chief executive on Monday, after its current CEO Rupert Stadler was arrested earlier in the day in connection with an investigation into the car maker's emissions cheating, German daily Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung reported, citing company sources.

--It wasn't yet known who will replace Mr. Stadler, according to the report.

--Audi is Volkswagen's luxury car maker.
