Volkswagen AG's (VOW.XE) truck maker MAN Truck & Bus said Thursday it has received an order of up to 1,000 buses by German transport operator Deutsche Bahn AG.

MAN will provide its Lion's City and Lion's Intercity bus models to Deutsche Bahn subsidiary DB Regio starting next year, it said.

The contract will run until 2020, with the possibility of two extensions, MAN said.
