--The purchasing head of German premium car maker BMW, Markus Duesmann, is set to become the new chief executive of Audi, German daily newspaper Handelsblatt reported Tuesday, citing company sources.

--Mr. Duesmann left BMW for "personal reasons" and won't be able to start his new job for at least six months, due to a non-compete clause, according to the newspaper.

--Audi's previous CEO Rupert Stadler was arrested in connection with the diesel emissions scandal

--The position of interim chief executive at Audi, Volkswagen's premium car maker, is held by Bram Schot.
