Coca-Cola Co. (KO) on Thursday said long-time Chairman Muhtar
Kent will retire in April and will be succeeded by Chief Executive
James Quincey.
The Atlanta beverage giant said Mr. Kent, who has served as
chairman since 2009, will remain in the post through the company's
2019 annual meeting, where he won't stand for reelection.
Mr. Quincey took over for Mr. Kent as CEO in May 2017.
Coke said former U.S. Sen. Sam Nunn, who currently serves as

Lagomasino, who joined the Coca-Cola board in 2008, will succeed
Mr. Nunn as lead independent director.
