--Two companies may drop out of the race to provide new jet
fighters to Canada's military, arguing the process unfairly favors
Lockheed Martin Corp. (LMT), Reuters reports Monday, citing "two
sources with direct knowledge of the situation."
--Airbus SE (EADSY) and Boeing Co. (BA) formally complained to
the Canadian government about current requirements for the
contract, the report said.
--Canada's government is expected by next week to release the
requirements for the 88 jets it intends to buy, the report
said.
--Airbus declined to make a comment, and Boeing didn't respond
to a request to comment, the report said.
--Canada's government said the competition isn't unfair, the
report said.
