U.S. retail sales and import and export prices for October are due at 8:30 am ET Tuesday. Ahead of these data, the greenback traded mixed against its major counterparts. While the currency fell against the yen, it held steady against the rest of major rivals.

The greenback was worth 104.17 against the yen, 0.9098 against the franc, 1.1883 against the euro and 1.3254 against the pound at 8:25 am ET.
