Canada inflation data for October is due at 8:30 am ET Wednesday. Ahead of the data, the loonie traded mixed against its major counterparts. While the loonie rose against the yen and the euro, it held steady against the aussie and the greenback.

The loonie was worth 1.5505 against the euro, 79.48 against the yen, 0.9556 against the aussie and 1.3076 against the greenback at 8:25 am ET.
