Deutsche Post AG said Monday that it has appointed new chief executives to regional bases for DHL Freight GmbH.

The German postal, freight and logistics group said Anabela Pires will be taking over as Chief Executive Officer for Central Eastern, Southern Europe & Americas, Middle East, Africa. Thomas Vogel will become CEO of DHL Freight's Germany, Austria and Switzerland cluster, the company said.

Both appointments are effective as of Jan. 1. Ms. Pires will join the DHL Freight Management Board when she begins her new role, whereas Mr. Vogel is already a member of the board.

Ms. Pires's predecessor, Stefano Arganese, will be moving to a new role as DHL Freight's digital development Chief Transformation Officer.
