Air France-KLM on Thursday said it has ordered 100 Airbus SE's A320neo family aircraft as it seeks to improve its economic and environmental performance.

The Franco-Dutch airline said that, as part of the order, it has purchased rights for 60 additional aircraft to renew the fleets of KLM and Transavia Netherlands as well as renew and expand Transavia France.

First deliveries are expected in the second half of 2023.

The group also signed a letter of intent to purchase four Airbus A350F full freighter aircraft, with purchase rights for four additional aircraft, in order to increase cargo capacity at Air France.

Financial details of the deal weren't disclosed.
