At 8:30 am ET Wednesday, Canada CPI for August has been published. After the data, the loonie advanced against its major rivals.

The loonie was trading at 86.19 against the yen, 1.2674 against the greenback, 1.4986 against the euro and 0.9278 against the aussie around 8:35 am ET.
