Black Knight Inc. shares were recently up 18% to $75.17 as Intercontinental Exchange Inc. agreed to buy the software, data and analytics company for $85 a share.

Shares were briefly paused due to volatility Tuesday afternoon and later halted for pending news in advance of the deal announcement. Bloomberg reported Tuesday afternoon that ICE was considering a deal for Black Knight and reported last month that Black Knight had received takeover interest.
