McDonald's Says Foreign Exchange Increased Earnings -- Currency Comment

McDonald's Corp. said Wednesday that currency translations
increased earnings in the second quarter.
The Oak Brook, Ill. fast-food chain reported adjusted earnings
of $2.37 a share, a substantial improvement from 66 cents a share
in the second quarter of 2020. It said the conversion of foreign
currency benefited EPS by 13 cents for the quarter.
McDonald's also reported first-half EPS of $4.29, up from $2.13
a year earlier, and said that currency translations contributed 19
cents to the result.
