Iberdrola SA on Monday said that it has been awarded the construction and commissioning of a 500-kilovolt substation through its subsidiary Neoenergia in Brazil.

The Spanish energy player said the investment is estimated at around 103 million euros ($115.8 million). The project was granted by Brazil's electricity system regulator Agencia Nacional de Energia Eletrica, or Aneel.

The deadline for entry into commercial operation is 48 months, to be met in March 2026, but is expected to be brought forward, according to the company.
