MOP Environmental Solutions, Inc. (PINKSHEETS: MOPN). has elevated
its OTC Tier to "Current Information." The company's comprehensive
information and current activities are now up to date and
available.
What it means to Be Current
"Companies that follow the International Reporting Standard or
the Alternative Reporting Standard by making filings publicly
available through the OTC Disclosure & News Service pursuant to
OTC Markets Group Guidelines for Providing Adequate Current
Information are designated as OTC Pink Current Information,"
according to OTC Markets. "This is a benefit to the Company and its
shareholders since shareholders can now see detailed information on
the financial results of the Company's operations and disclosures
relating to its financial policies. Hence, existing and new
investors can judge and measure the progress of their investment
with greater transparency," said Charles Diamond, Chairman &
CEO of MOP Environmental Solutions, Inc. He continued noting, "The
Company's full disclosure year-end financial statements for 2008
and 2009 are now available and we are preparing the 2010 statements
to be filed by April 15, 2011."
Mr. Diamond further continued: "Since I became involved with
MOP, my two primary goals were to position the MOPN.PK products at
the forefront of the oil spill response and remediation market and
to provide an increase in value and transparency for
shareholders."
The OTC Markets, Current Information Tier has over 45 Million in
average dollar volume -- 3 times greater than our prior Limited
Information Tier. Shareholders will now be able to trade in greater
liquidity as they enter a new level of investment
possibilities.
This new Tier should open the door for more broker dealers and
larger brokerages to further expand trading in the Company's common
stock.
Highlights from the Company's Disclosures
Highlights from the postings include the Company's CEO's recent
filings for International and Domestic patents on its RESCUE (Rapid
Environmental Soil Cleanup Equipment) process for recovering oil
from oil contaminated soil. As a result of these filing, an
Intellectual Property License, Royalty and Option Agreement was
signed between the Company and the CEO which provided an exclusive
license to the Company to utilize the CEO's Technology worldwide
until December 31, 2030 and an option for either party to transfer
some or all of the Technology at 90% of Market Value, to be
determined by an independent appraisal.
The Company also stated it "continues to develop opportunities
beyond manufacturing and distribution towards a comprehensive
provider of oil spill remediation materials and services. In the
3rd Quarter 2010, the Company entered an agreement with Homeland
Environmental Logistical Partners, Ltd., to carry each others'
products and to collaborate on ventures and spill response. In
addition, the Company developed competitively priced and
environmentally sustainable oil tanker spill kits for compliance
with United States federal regulations found at 33 CFR §155. The
product line was also expanded to include warehouse spill kits,
school spill kits and mobile spill response kits. Additional
advancements for the MOP technologies and processes, include MOP
RESCUE (Rapid Environmental Soil Clean Up Equipment) and related
MOP patent work on an ongoing basis."
While actively engaged in various aspects of the Gulf Oil Spill,
the Company presented "The Case for 'MOP Maximum Oil Pickup' as the
best option, 'FIRST RESPONSE' for oil spills in testimony to the
United States Senate Committee on Small Business and
Entrepreneurship for Gulf Coast Oil Cleanup."
One current opportunity is Ecuador, where 18 billion gallons of
liquid hydrocarbon contaminated land is now in need of remediation
and is one of that country's highest priorities. The photos
included below show how the second cargo-container load of MOP,
shipped in January 2011, is already being used there. Discussions
are underway with MOP's Ecuador distributor who wishes to expand
operations through the use of MOP Cannons and the new MOP RESCUE
system to clean more and larger areas more quickly. To underscore
the extent of the problem there, on February 14, 2011 a judgment
was handed down by a judge in Lago Agrio, a provincial capital near
the Colombian border, which ordered Chevron to pay $8.6 billion and
an equal amount in punitive damages, according to the ruling
obtained and reported by Bloomberg. The judgment stemmed from an
18-year-old lawsuit that alleged Texaco Inc. dumped chemical-laden
wastewater in the Amazon River basin from 1964 to 1992.
