Board appointment
DeepVerge (AIM: DVRG), the environmental and life science group
of companies that develops and applies AI and IoT technology to
analytical instruments for the analysis and identification of
bacteria, virus and toxins, is pleased to announce the immediate
appointment of Andrew Waters FCA as Chief Financial Officer (CFO)
and as a Director of the Company.
Andrew brings significant experience as a CFO of both public and
private companies in the healthcare and life sciences field,
including most recently at AIM quoted Venture Life Group plc.
Andrew has a Physics degree from Imperial College and qualified as
a Chartered Accountant with PriceWaterhouseCoopers.
As part of the process of strengthening the Board, a further
independent Non-Executive Director will be appointed as soon as
practicable.
Dr Nigel Burton, interim CEO DeepVerge plc, commented:
I'm pleased to welcome Andrew to the Board. In October 2022 we
committed to strengthening the Board, including recruiting a new
Group CFO, and are pleased to have been able to make this
appointment in just over three months. As we seek to grow the
Company through a combination of organic growth, joint ventures and
collaborations, Andrew is a welcome addition to the Board with his
relevant international financial and commercial experience.
