California's Great America will
kick off its celebratory 40th season March 28-29 with special events planned
throughout the weekend and the grand opening of the expanded Planet
Snoopy kids area. Great America will also introduce longer hours
for 2015.
An Opening Day ceremony will take place prior to the Park's
opening on March 28, with dignitaries
and featured guests to commemorate 40 seasons of family fun in the
Bay Area.
New to Great America for 2015 is the expanded Planet Snoopy kids
area, featuring three rides parents can enjoy with their kids.
Gr8Sk8 will be an interactive ride atop Snoopy's giant skateboard
with the feeling of going off the edge. Peanuts 500 lets racers
zoom around the track and slingshot around the track's ends, while
Snoopy's Space Buggies will lift astronauts into the air for a
gravity defying lunar landing.
On the entertainment front, a new show celebrating 4 decades of
music will take guests back through time. An array of new foods
will delight guests, highlighted by Starbuck's proudly being served
inside the Park.
"Opening Weekend is always special, but beginning our
40th season of creating memories is amazing," said
California's Great America Vice

Rehnborg. "With thrill rides, family rides, kids areas, live
entertainment and spectacular food options, Great America truly
