European Economics Preview: Eurozone Flash Inflation Data Due

Flash inflation from euro area and France are due on Wednesday,
headlining a busy day for the European economic news.
At 2.00 am ET, Destatis is slated to issue Germany's retail
sales for October. Sales are forecast to grow 1 percent on a yearly
basis, slower than the 0.4 percent rise in September.
In the meantime, Switzerland's consumption indicator figures are
due. Economists forecast a score of 1.55 for October versus 1.59 in
September. Turkey's foreign trade data is also due at 2.00.
At 2.45 am ET, France's Insee publishes flash consumer prices
and producer price data. Inflation is expected to rise marginally
to 0.5 percent in November from 0.4 percent in October.
At 3.00 am ET, Spain's INE is set to issue retail sales. Spain's
retail sales are forecast to grow 3.5 percent annually in October
after rising 3.6 percent in September. In the meantime, Hungary's
producer prices and Swiss KOF leading indicator are due.
At 3.55 am ET, Germany's unemployment data is due. The jobless
rate is expected to remain unchanged at 6 percent in November.
At 5.00 am ET, Eurostat publishes flash inflation data for
November. Eurozone inflation is expected to rise slightly to 0.6
percent from 0.5 percent in October.
Italy's preliminary inflation figures are also due at 5.00 am
ET. Consumer prices are forecast to remain flat in November after
easing 0.2 percent in October.
At 6.00 am ET, Istat publishes Italy's producer prices for
October. Producer prices had declined 0.8 percent annually in
September.
