U.S. Dollar Rises Against Majors

The U.S. dollar strengthened against the other major currencies
in the Asian session on Tuesday.
The U.S. dollar rose to 6-day highs of 1.1284 against the euro,
0.9271 against the Swiss franc and 0.7956 against the Australian
dollar, from yesterday's closing quotes of 1.1312, 0.9261 and
0.7986, respectively.
Against the Canadian dollar and the pound, the greenback
advanced to more than a 2-week high of 1.217 and a 1-week high of
1.5630 from yesterday's closing quotes of 1.2157 and 1.5651,
respectively. The greenback edged up to 120.03 against the yen,
from an early low of 119.85.
If the greenback extends its uptrend, it is likely to find
resistance around 1.08 against the euro, 0.96 against the Swiss
franc, 0.77 against the aussie, 1.25 against the loonie, 1.51
against the pound and 121.00 against the yen.
