Ecology and Environment, Inc. Announces Liquidation of Laboratory Equipment; Lab Building Up for Sale or Lease BUFFALO, N.Y., March 28 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- In January 2005 the Company announced its intent to exit the domestic laboratory testing business. As of February 19, 2005 the Analytical Services Center ceased all operations and the laboratory equipment was sold under bid to Pace Analytical Services, Inc. for a price in excess of $500,000. The laboratory building and warehouse with attendant 34 acres of land are being offered for sale or lease under suitable terms. The laboratory facility lends itself to a variety of uses, including bio-tech, light manufacturing, "clean room" activities, or other activities requiring high rates of air circulation, isolation by fume hoods and sample refrigeration. The facility has three independent air handling zones and contains 25,000 square feet of which approximately 7,000 or 28% is dedicated to office space. As currently configured, the facility contains 800 linear feet of acid resistant work surface with underlying steel cabinets and 120 feet of fume hoods. The facility is plumbed throughout with UV sterilized, deionized water and various gases via service columns adjacent to each lab bench.
