STUART, Fla., March 29 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- UltraStrip Systems, Inc. (OTC:USTP) (BULLETIN BOARD: USTP) , the Stuart, Florida-based defense technology company, announced the signing of an agreement with an internationally recognized research and development organization to develop a 3D laser scanning and high-pressure water jet stripping system to remove coatings from the world's military and commercial aircraft. The new system is based on UltraStrip's patented 3D scanning and ultra-high-pressure water jetting patents, U.S. Patents 6,287,389, 6,745,108, and 6,604,696. UltraStrip's unique intellectual property includes a total of 423 patents approved and patents pending. * (see below) Dennis McGuire, Chief Executive Officer of UltraStrip, commented, "UltraStrip's patented transformational robotic coating removal technology is presently being used to remove coatings from the world's largest vessels like aircraft carriers, cruise ships, and super tankers. It is a natural progression that we would now develop equipment for removing coatings from the world's largest aircraft. Companies like Boeing, Airbus, and Lockheed are always looking for more cost effective and environmentally friendly ways to do their business. The applications for our patented technology in the aircraft de-painting business are far reaching. It is not just the world's largest commercial aircraft that we are targeting with our patented technology, but also the military cargo and newest fighter aircraft that are being developed like the F-35 Joint Strike Fighter series being developed for the U.S. Navy, and the U.S. Air Force. Additionally, UltraStrip will develop a robotic 3D scanning and de-painting booth based on their patented technology for automotive and military rolling stock like armored personnel carriers and tanks." UltraStrip Systems is a technology incubator that creates patented and engineered solutions for Defense and Homeland Security initiatives. The agreement continues the Company's model of partnering with major companies to protect our national security and environment. In December 2005, UltraStrip announced it entered into a Joint Manufacturing and Marketing Agreement with Pierce Manufacturing Corp. (a subsidiary of Oshkosh Truck Corporation, "OSK," NYSE). In February 2006, the Company announced the signing of a five year exclusive agreement with BAE Systems ship yard subsidiaries in San Francisco and San Diego to provide its patented robotic automated water jetting technology equipment and services. The Company's proprietary Mobile Emergency Filtration Systems and Tactical Water Filtration Trucks, provided through its Ecosphere Technologies subsidiary, are breaking new ground by transforming its powerful water-filtration and purification technology for use in the world's most challenging applications, including the military (e.g., for troop deployments) and Homeland Security (e.g., to areas hit by man-made or natural events that damage vital water resources). The Company's Mobile Emergency Filtration System successfully operated for six weeks in Waveland, MS following that community's devastation from Hurricane Katrina, providing bulk water for drinking, bathing, cooking, and cleaning purposes. UltraStrip's patented robotic water jetting systems are provided through its UltraStrip Envirobotic Solutions subsidiary and are designed to provide an environmentally and cost effective coatings removal process for the removal of coatings on a range of commercial and military vessels, including military support vehicles. The robotic systems have been utilized for U.S. Navy ships (including the U.S.S. Cole after its attack off the coast of Yemen), cruise ships, and tankers in ship yards throughout the world. UltraStrip also has 411 patents pending covering our robotic coating removal technology and automotive paint removal technology in numerous countries in Europe, Asia and the rest of the world; and also has three United States patents pending relating to our water filtration system.
