IPSA Group PLC (IPSA.LN), the developer, owner and operator of power generation capacity in Southern Africa, announced Wednesday the appointment of Richard Linnell as Chairman of the Board of Directors, replacing Stephen Hargrave who stepped down at the conclusion of the AGM.

MAIN FACTS:

-Linnell, a geologist by training, has over 35 years' experience in the resource industry in Africa, principally with companies now forming part of BHP Billiton PLC (BLT.LN).

-Linnell is non-executive chairman of Coal of Africa Ltd (CZA.AU) and a director of a number of other companies.

-Shares at 1504 GMT up 0.25 pence, or 1.82%, at 14 pence.
