News Ltd. To Cut Up To 400 Editorial Jobs -Report

News Ltd., the Australian arm of News Corp. (NWS), is set to cut
up to 400 editorial jobs as it restructures its largely print-based
publishing business to ensure survival in a digital future, the Age
newspaper reported Monday, without saying where it got the
figure.
The newspaper, owned by News Ltd.'s competitor Fairfax Media
Ltd. (FXJ.AU), cited "insiders" as saying that a "significant
announcement" about cuts was expected next Monday.
A spokesman for News Ltd. was unable to be reached for comment.
