Fox, the company to be spun off in connection with 21st Century
Fox's (FOXA) merger with Walt Disney Co. (DIS), on Tuesday
appointed future leadership roles in legal and human resources.
Disney last year agreed to buy a variety of assets that are a
part of 21st Century Fox, including regional sports networks, cable
channels FX and National Geographic Channel and Twentieth Century
Fox television and film studios. The Fox Broadcasting network and
local stations, Fox News and Fox Business are among the assets that
won't be sold to Disney, but will be spun off into a different
company called Fox.
Rita Tuzon was named corporate general counsel of Fox. She
currently serves as general counsel at Fox Networks Group. Jill
Ratner will become Fox chief litigation counsel and currently
serves as deputy general counsel, litigation at 21st Century Fox.
Ms Tuzon and Ms. Ratner will report to Viet Dinh, Fox chief legal
and policy officer.
Kevin Lord, currently EVP of human resources at Fox News, will
continue in that role but will broaden his responsibilities to
provide HR oversight across all of Fox.
21st Century Fox and News Corp (NWSA), owner of this newswire,
share common ownership.
