On August 22, 2008, Abigail Adams National Bancorp, Inc. (the "Company"), issued a press release reporting that the Company has decided to suspend payment of quarterly dividends to stockholders until further notice. A copy of the press release is attached as Exhibit 99.1 to this report and is being furnished to the SEC and shall not be deemed filed for any purpose.
