Indus International Inc. (NASDAQ: IINT), a leading Service Delivery
Management (SDM) solution provider, today announced the
availability of IndusPro(TM), a new online collaboration tool and
implementation methodology designed to deliver significant cost
savings by facilitating the rapid and successful deployment of
Indus software solutions. The announcement was made at the first
annual Indus Investor Day event here at the Grand Hyatt New York.
The IndusPro Web-based software functions as an educational and
day-to-day operational tool that represents a world-class
implementation methodology encapsulating Indus' nearly 30 years of
experience in implementing enterprise management software
solutions. Accessible online, IndusPro provides a central
repository of information for all project stakeholders enabling
them to easily monitor all aspects of the implementation and better
track and manage results. IndusPro provides for the seamless
integration to multiple software tools that includes a
sophisticated document and content management system housing all
project documentation and deliverables, a workflow engine to manage
approval processes and an advanced search engine ensuring fast and
easy access to all information. IndusPro also provides for the
seamless integration to other complementary software tools such as
Microsoft Project, Word, Excel and Visio. "Truly effective
implementation teams require the collaboration of members of
various departments and partners; hence the centralized IndusPro
tool ensures the disciplined adherence to the Indus world-class
methodology," said Indus VP of Global Services Dave Henderson.
"However, IndusPro is much more than just the online documentation
of our implementation methodology, it is a day-to-day operational
tool and collaboration engine which enables the entire team to
complete their work more effectively, monitor progress of the
project and analyze results in real time. As a result, projects can
be completed more efficiently and at a lower cost to both Indus and
our clients." Standardized Methodology Designed to Deliver Business
Results The IndusPro implementation methodology consists of six
essential steps. Each step represents a chronological element in
the software implementation from the initial client's evaluation of
the Indus software through the execution of the implementation
itself and then continuing to facilitate the ongoing refinement of
the client's use of the software. The ultimate objective is for the
client to achieve the maximum use and benefit of their software
investment. The methodology steps include the following: -- Engage.
Involves and captures knowledge of all client software evaluation
activities, including software demonstration solution,
implementation proposal and an Indus Value Assessment (IVA). The
IVA is an exercise provided by Indus at no cost to the client
resulting in the compilation of realistic ROI goals and
expectations, utilizing the client's own data and processes. --
Plan. Performed as the initial step of the implementation project.
The Plan step includes activities such as the compilation of the
project plan, the communication of project standards, assessing all
training needs and technical readiness of the client. Indus will
ensure that the plan reflects the importance of client's strategic
business goals and requirements. -- Model. Focused on defining how
the software will be used, the Model step includes activities such
as a functional design definition, detailed deployment estimate and
technical rollout plan. -- Configure. Involves activities which
enable the software to be used by client personnel such as train
the trainers, data validation, configuration of the software and
detailed interface design. -- Deploy. Activities necessary to move
the project into production use after testing and training of
personnel, including stress testing and performance tuning. --
Refine. Focused on continuous improvement of business processes and
software. This step includes post-implementation optimization
workshops to extract maximum value from the implemented Indus
products in order to ensure maximum benefit. "By the addition of
the key Engage and Refine steps to our IndusPro methodology, Indus
has taken our implementation methodology to another level,"
Henderson said. "Our philosophy is that our partnership with the
client begins with our first contact with them and continues beyond
go-live for the life of the use of their Indus software. Our
ultimate objective is to ensure that our clients realize the
absolute most value possible from our solutions." About Indus
