Learning Care Group (NASDAQ:LCGI) was honored today by the Michigan
Women's Leadership Index (WLI), earning the highest ranking of any
company new to this year's list- one point shy of "Most Valuable
Player" recognition. Published by the Inforum Center for Leadership
(formerly the Women's Economic Club of Detroit), the WLI is a
bi-annual report on the presence of women holding top leadership
roles within the top 100 publicly-traded companies in Michigan.
"Learning Care Group is proud to have its efforts recognized by the
WLI and Inforum," stated Bill Davis, Chief Executive Officer.
"Exposure to diverse backgrounds and experiences is essential in
creating leaders with better perspectives on the wide range of
issues affecting our global economy. We have made a concerted
effort to draw in people with the experiences and skills that will
continue to position Learning Care Group as a leader in the
industry." Learning Care Group, one of the nation's largest early
education and child care providers, earned recognition from the WLI
for its composition of women in high-ranking leadership positions
within the company's day-to-day operations, as well as seats held
on its board of directors. One of the company's four
top-compensated officers is a woman, compared to the WLI's average
of less than six percent. Additionally, 92 percent of the company's
management positions are held by women. "Every level of our company
benefits from diversity," stated Kathryn Winkelhaus, Chief
Operating Officer. "From our center-level curricula, which impacts

countries and different business backgrounds--each element plays a
key role in growing a stronger, more innovative company." About
