On November 30, 2010, the companies announced the definitive merger agreement under which Mercer Insurance Group would be acquired by United Fire & Casualty, in a transaction valued at approximately $191 million. Under the terms of the agreement, Mercer Insurance Group stockholders will receive $28.25 in cash for each share of Mercer Insurance Group/MIGP common stock held.
