Business Alliance will Enable Small to Medium-Sized Businesses to
Take Advantage of PLM to Significantly Ease FDA Regulation
Compliance Efforts MatrixOne, Inc. (NASDAQ: MONE), a leading
provider of collaborative product lifecycle management (PLM)
solutions for the value chain(TM), today announced that it has
entered into a reseller agreement with IntegWare, Inc., a company
that designs, develops, deploys and sustains enterprise PLM
solutions to help customers build their products better, faster and
more profitably. Under the agreement, IntegWare will strive to
deliver rapidly implementable FDA compliance and process automation
solutions to the medical device industry. Companies currently using
paper-based systems to meet FDA requirements are putting themselves
at risk and are operating at a competitive disadvantage due to the
extra time and effort needed to secure compliance. The electronic
workflow provided by PLM solutions can streamline quality assurance
and compliance, while helping to improve profitability through
improved business process and faster time-to-market. "This alliance
will enable our clients to draw upon the strengths of both
companies," said Chris Kay, CEO of IntegWare. "Our medical device
domain expertise and MatrixOne's FDA compliance solution will
create a powerful tool for medical device businesses that have not
yet been taking advantage of the streamlined regulation compliance
and approval processes that PLM solutions enable." As a part of the
reseller agreement, the two companies will focus on providing FDA
compliance and process automation solutions using the MatrixOne
Accelerator for FDA Compliance(TM). The Accelerator for FDA
Compliance is a single comprehensive solution designed to enable
medical device manufacturers achieve compliance throughout their
product lifecycle processes, drastically reducing product
development costs and delivering products to market quicker than
the competition. "IntegWare's expertise in the product development
market paired with our industry-leading PLM platform will give
small-to-medium sized businesses an "out-of-the-box" solution that
can be rapidly implemented and quickly transform the way they
secure FDA compliance," said Mayur Shah, vice president of business
development, alliances & industries for MatrixOne. "This
alliance will enable a wider-range of companies to take advantage
of improved product development and compliance process
efficiencies. We're happy to be furthering our partnership with
IntegWare." IntegWare's domain expertise in product development and
manufacturing and extensive experience with assessing and
optimizing the product development process (PDP) allows the company
to bring unique value to clients across all phases of a PDP
improvement project. From initial needs assessment and PLM strategy
definition through solution development, validation, deployment and
support, IntegWare's holistic approach and focus on each client's
key business drivers ensures a direct and positive impact to the
bottom line, especially for those clients in global or highly
regulated markets. MatrixOne's Accelerators program packages
specific vertical market expertise with MatrixOne technology to
deliver industry-specific, rapidly implemented PLM offerings that
can solve focused product lifecycle management challenges inherent
to specific industries. The Accelerators enable companies to meet
their unique product development challenges by providing users with
industry-specific terminology, data models, work processes,
reports, role-based user interfaces and document management
capabilities. In addition to the medical device industry, MatrixOne
offers Accelerators aimed at the electronics industry (MatrixOne
Semiconductor Accelerator for Enterprise Project Management(TM) and
the MatrixOne Semiconductor Accelerator for
Design-to-Manufacturing(TM)) and the apparel industry (MatrixOne
Accelerator for Apparel Design & Development(TM)). About
