Radyne ComStream's Board Elects Dr. C. J. Waylan as Chairman
PHOENIX, May 18 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Radyne ComStream (Nasdaq:
RADN; RADNW) today announced that its Board of Directors elected
Dr. C. J. Waylan as its Chairman. Dr. Waylan replaces Mr. Ming
Seong Lim who served as Chairman since August 1996. Mr. Lim, who
resides in Singapore, did not stand for re-election to the Board.
Dr. Waylan has been a Director since February 2000 and is a member
of the Audit and Compensation Committees of the Board. He is
currently an advisor to several telecommunications and satellite
companies. Since September 1997 he has been President and Chief
Executive Officer of CCI International, NV. Before retiring in
1996, Dr. Waylan served in several senior executive positions for
GTE Corporation. He served as president of GTE Spacenet and as
Executive Vice President in the GTE wireless group, which included
GTE Mobilnet. Dr. Waylan served in the US Navy for twenty years in
a number of space and communications-related positions. He has a BS
degree from the University of Kansas, and an MSEE and Ph.D. from
the Naval Postgraduate School. He currently serves on the boards of
directors of Globecomm Systems, Inc., fSONA Communications
Corporation and CCI International. "We want to express our
