Sybase Hosts InfraGard US Department of Treasury Financial Advisory Board Meeting

NEW YORK, Sept. 6 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Sybase, Inc. is hosting
the second InfraGard Financial Services Advisory Board meeting on
September 7 at the Sybase midtown New York office. The board will
meet to continue the fruitful and ongoing discussions between
regulators and the financial services industry. As part of this
meeting, the US Treasury Department will provide insights on
financial services initiatives developed to address a variety of
Homeland Security Presidential Declarations (HSPD). These
initiatives mandate that financial institutions have a coordinated
method of insuring data security and utility in light of a
disaster. Also in attendance will be Chicago First, American
Bankers Association (ABA), Securities Industry Association (SIA),
Depository Trust & Clearing Corporation (DTCC), New York
Bankers Association (NYBA), Federal Financial Institutions
Examination Council (FFIEC) and the local Federal Bureau of
Investigation (FBI). "As the pace of the financial markets
increases it is imperative to keep financial institutions abreast
of regulatory requirements for 'all hazard' preparedness," said
