Known for providing innovative solutions to data packet
infrastructure, TransPacket's unique fusion networking technology
enables tunneling with fixed delay for any Ethernet synchronization
protocol. The TransPacket Ethernet H1 node uses fusion technology
to combine the properties of circuit and packet transport within
the same link. This enables Ethernet transport with both fixed
predictable network delay and high capacity utilization.
The company qualified as a SyncWorld Network Equipment Partner
by validating synchronization distribution through transparent
tunneling of IEEE 1588 packets with fixed delay through a network
of 10 TransPacket Ethernet H1 nodes.
"By joining the Symmetricom SyncWorld Program, our goal is to
bring synchronization to a new level of flexibility in networks
that depend on precise timing," said Steinar Bjørnstad, CEO of
TransPacket AS. "We look forward to jointly delivering solutions
with Symmetricom that meet the timing and synchronization
requirements in 4G/LTE networks, as well as energy and utility grid
network infrastructures."
Symmetricom's Network Equipment Partners are technology vendors
that have conducted extensive interoperability testing with
Symmetricom products to ensure effective operation of the joint
solution in specific scenarios. Network Equipment Partners
participate in the SyncWorld Ecosystem Program in a variety of
ways, including technical, marketing and field support.
"We are excited to have TransPacket join the SyncWorld Ecosystem
Program and support interoperability across all the elements of the
mobile value chain," said Manish
Gupta, vice president of marketing and business development
for Symmetricom. "Predictable network delay is critical to
delivering high quality of services and operators benefit from
availability of such interoperability."
