Marshall & Ilsley Corporation to Match Employee Donations to
Tsunami Relief, Up to $100,000 Customer Donations Accepted at All
M&I Bank Branches Nationwide MILWAUKEE, Jan. 5
/PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Marshall & Ilsley Corporation
(NYSE:MI) has announced it will match all employee donations, up to
$100,000, for M&I employees who choose to donate funds for
disaster relief efforts in South Asia. Employees have the
opportunity to give to the agency of their choice; matching funds
from M&I will be donated to The Salvation Army and The American
Red Cross. The employee matching funds contribution is in response
to the significant need for food, medicine, and emergency shelter
following the devastating tsunami in a region of the world already
challenged by poverty and limited resources. In addition, M&I
Banks nationwide will be accepting customer donations to The
Salvation Army and The American Red Cross. "As the death toll
mounts and the full extent of the damage is realized, it's clear
significant resources will be required to rebuild this region and
aid victims," said Dennis Kuester, chairman and CEO. "Marshall
