Equatorial Guinea expects its oil production to hit a record
145,000 barrels per day by the end of September, the country's
Minister of Petroleum Gabriel Obiang Lima said Thursday.
OPEC member Equatorial Guinea currently produces 130,000 barrels
of oil a day.
New offshore wells operated by Noble Energy Inc. (NBL),
confirmed in August, will begin producing in the coming days.
Mr. Lima added that daily production would further increase by
the year's end, but he didn't specify as to by how much.
As a smaller member of OPEC Equatorial Guinea isn't subject to
production cuts.
