CALGARY, ALBERTA--(Marketwired - May 9, 2014) - Alston Energy Inc. ("Alston" or the "Company") is advising that, pursuant to an application by the primary secured creditor of Alston, Alberta Treasury Branches, in the Court of Queen's Bench of Alberta, Alvarez and Marsal Canada Inc. ("A&M") has been appointed as receiver and manager (the "Receiver") of Alston's assets. A&M is expected to undertake an orderly liquidation of the assets of Alston.
