EnQuest Energy Services Corp. (TSX VENTURE:ENQ) ("EnQuest" or the "Corporation")
announces that a cease trade order was issued by the Alberta Securities
Commission on May 7, 2009 as the Corporation has not filed its financial
statements or management discussion and analysis for the year ended December 31,
2008 within the regulated timeframe. As a result, trading in the common shares
of the Company was halted on the TSX Venture Exchange on May 7, 2009.


The Company anticipates filing the required financial statements next week, and
in any event not later than May 22, 2009 and will concurrently apply for a
revocation of the cease trade orders and a reinstatement of trading.
