Missouri State University and University of Arkansas Awarded
Scholarships for Their Unique Perspectives on the Changing Landscape of
        Agriculture

Underscoring its commitment to education and the agriculture marketplace,
ExxonMobil today announced the winners of its 2003 "Mobilfluid 424 Scholarship"
program, a unique initiative which awarded four students $4,000 scholarships to
help further their education. The students are pursuing degrees at accredited
U.S. college agricultural schools.

The winners -- Chris Eggerman of Southwest Missouri State University ('04),
Kristen Evatt of University of Arkansas ('08), Emily Hurtgen of Cornell
University ('06) and Cortney Peissig of Michigan State University ('04) -- were
selected by a panel of agriculture industry experts.

The theme for the 2003 program was "The Changing Landscape of Agriculture."
Scholarship recipients were chosen based on their responses to one of three
written essay categories, or a fourth photo-essay category.

"ExxonMobil is proud to honor these exceptional students with our Mobilfluid 424
Scholarships and assist them with their studies," said Ken Cicora, lubricants
marketing advisor, ExxonMobil Lubricants & Specialties. "We were truly impressed
with each student's knowledge of the agriculture industry and their thoughtful
examination of how to improve its current landscape."

ExxonMobil will again offer "Mobilfluid 424 Scholarships" in 2004 to students
attending an accredited U.S. college agricultural program. Applications, essay
themes and deadlines for the 2004 program will be announced shortly at
